G-L-O-R-I-A and a rant

With most of today spent in Mort'ton, I finally got that coveted 80 crafting tonight. I hurried to Falador and made glory amulets from the dstones I've been saving for this moment. ^_^

And now, The Rant.

I expect there will be a few people who come to the temple world (now world 77) to finish up the quest or try their hands at some shade burning. Tonight was bad for newbie questions. It was like every 5 minutes, people who've done this before were answering the same damn questions. Of the newbies there, 90% of them hadn't even started Shades of Mort'ton quest! I understand that certain players like to do quests and mini games without spoilers or walkthrus but Jesus Christ on a Popsicle stick! Many of the fan sites with quest guides also have quick walkthrus which don't give away much except the essentials (quest items, who to talk to, etc.). Would it kill these newbies to RTFM (read the fucking manual)? Oh and there were a couple of players who were question begging - you know, begging for free supplies but making it out to be a question: Anyone can give me willow logs? Arielathena, someone I'd only seen tonight, came off as short tempered and mean, but after many hours of listening to the same goddamn questions, can you blame her? Huydo5 was killing me. He's level 77 and gets attacked by the roaming shades. Instead of trying to fight them off, which he is more than capable of doing, he would plead for Help! and Kill this shade!

Also, there were 2 level 40 somethings building on the temple. Well, strike that; they were *standing* inside the temple. Neither had a clue what to do - no supplies for building, nothing to fight with (one wore CW armor and a pirate bandana) and no food (or ate it all). Crassus (not quiet his name, the guy with the CW armor) is stupid. He's determined to keep shades from entering the temple, yet has no food and won't run away. I did give him 5 monkfish before I found out how clueless he is. During 1 fight, he's barely got a sliver of green left and, when encouraged to run away, he whines about how they will get him. *headdesk*

For anyone thinking about coming to World 77 (or whatever the temple building world is) to try this shade burning thing out, read up on the mini game in Jagex's knowledge base or one of the fan sites. If you can't bank in Burgh de Rott, bring the supplies you need instead of mooching off others.

I made a new friend today. He'd mentioned we'd met about 3 weeks ago at the temple building, but I didn't remember him. Then he said he'd been going Bleeeeee!! and I got it. He was very talkative and I didn't mind helping him a bit. I bought him a hammer so he could build 'cause he forgot his. I learned he was trying to get fine cloth for splitbark armor (he uses the body part for PKing) and was having a helluva time getting some. I have plenty of it sitting my bank, which I will never sell as I suck ass at merchanting. I offered him enough to get 5 splitbark bodies made, but he refused. He had no money (lost it all in a stake iirc) and it took a while to talk him into accepting a gift. He promised to pay me back after some good PKs, but it doesn't bother me to get any money for it.

I guess gnomes are filling in the agility tunnel they made by Varrock castle? o_O

A Slow Day

I didn't do much in RS today. I went to try my luck ranging black dragons at Zanaris and found someone already there, so I hopped to another world. No one was around on 129, so I started taking pot shots. It was taking a long time, so I killed the one dragon and left. Then I popped to my PoH and strolled inside the ogre caves at Gu'Toth. This place is blue dragon heaven - 5 blue dragons, no waiting. I grabbed the one nearest the entrance and shot it full of steel arrows until I had 8 hides and 8 bones. A couple of times, I'd decided to run right up to the dragon and shoot. I got toasted (can't wear the anti-dragon breath shield with a magic shortbow), so I figured I'd move onto the greater demons locked in the cage a few feet away.

I love greater demons here. They can't get their creepy claws on me. :P I ranged alone until another player popped in beside me. He asked my range bonus which I gave (attack or defense? Idk), then he told me I needed rune boots. Huh? Bah, I ignored him - easy enough when public chat is on Hide as you only see what people say above their heads, not in your chat window. Lastly, he wanted me to know that Ava's accumulator didn't work there. To which I replied: "Uh...so? It still makes arrows". Yes, numbnuts, I know it won't collect my arrows because of the fucking fence. Did you know it collects arrows out of thin air and provides a +4 range bonus? *bitch slap*

I wasted almost 2k steel and 800 iron arrows to gain 74 range. Surprisingly, I wasn't sick of ranging things yet. I may make it to level 80. :)

Anyway, I returned to Burthorpe and safe cracking for gems. Anything to get my crafting up. I have about 98k to go for level 80 and those wonderful glory amulets. With my luck, I'll make glories out of the 8 dragonstones I have saved and won't get another key half or crystal key ever.

Tomorrow, I give Miscellania more money and get stuff in return. More farming! More herblore!

Other news: I celebrated my smexy thieving level by (in RS) buying the cape and doing the emote and (IRL) cleaning manky garbage cans. I've been catching up with Wil Wheaton's blog: WWdN: In Exile

[It looks weird as html is still giving a royal fuck-over. I figured out how to add a link, but I couldn't type normally after the link.]

That should be Wil's (Mr. Wheaton's ?) current blog - I'm still reading through his first blog, which is hilarious as whatever goof that broke the blog also made duplicates (3-5) of every post! >.< Not that he'll read this, but thanks dude!

*dances happily*

Guess it's time to get back to that runecrafting I was avoiding by training this skill. XD The cape looks great with my vyrewatch outfit.

I Can Taste It

581,507 XP to go now or 6,882 knights to mug. I had a hard time getting one to cooperate and walk inside a building on his own, so I remembered what I'd read countless times in thieving help guides: hit your mark once, then let them follow you. Once inside, hop upstairs or a ladder, come back down and start your mugging. I'd also equipped a mage shortbow (no arrows) so I didn't "accidentally" attack a knight while I was hurriedly clicking. All this pickpocketing has me over 13M banked which means more of a cushion for when I restock my kingdom.

I've added a new thing - The Asshat Awards - which is pretty self-explanitory. The first winner was Rob Stucky, who enjoyed letting a trapped knight roam free. The second winner is I Pjd I for killing the gnome child from whom I was stealing candy and not being able to wait 5 seconds for me to answer his question. Dude, it takes time to tell you all of what you can get from picking a gnome's pocket and continually asking, "wut they give" doesn't make the answer come faster.

Also, I've updated my short and long term goals lists with new goal levels. The reasons why for each:
range - my other combat stats are 80+
agility - to use the first shortcut in Fremmy slayer caves
runecrafting - so I can use the giant pouch and make 2x chaos
firemaking - pretty high anyway, so why not go for 99?
crafting - glory, glory, glory
prayer - my last skill under 70
thieving - I can't quit now :P

My Arm Hurts

I did a lot of right/left clicking today and damn, my arm hurts! The inside of my elbow and just above it burn when I bend my elbow. My fingers ache a bit from holding a mouse most of the day, but with a little flexing they're back to normal. Despite 2 modem crapouts, I got level 98. I took more breaks than I anticipated; more from boredom than muscle cramps. I picked out several music CDs to listen to via my DVD player and they really keep me going.

Here's some numbers to go by for 99 thieving (1,228,659 XP),:

wall safes - 17,533 (time unknown)
knights - 14,541 or 11.185 hours
paladins - 8,097 or 14.72 hours
gnomes - 6,190 or 18.75 hours
elves - 3,476 or 19.3111~ hours

I was very lucky with herding a knight into a "safe" room - safe meaning away from other players who would inadvertently or intentionally let the knight escape. I like getting the knight that roams around King Lathas' castle and cornering him in the room to the south of the main castle entry. No one has any reason to go there, unless they are also looking for a knight to thieve or they are griefing me. When I logged on this morning, there was a knight trapped and waiting for me! He stayed put until after the first modem crash, then I had to round him back up.

After today's power leveling, I think I may split the XP over 2 days, if not 3. I may do what I was doing with PP: pick knights for a few hours, then start scrounging for clue scrolls from H.A.M. members. I *will* get my beret, dammit. :P I almost buckled under and hit PP this afternoon, but hubby talked me out of it.

New Calculations (again)

I did some brief testing and have crunched numbers:

Paladins - 552 picks per hour, 83,738.4 XP per hour

Elves - 180 picks per hour, 63,630 XP per hour

So, from the time of this post, I have 10,785,459 XP and need 2,248,972 XP to 99.

Paladins - 14,816 picks or 26.938181 hours
Elves - 6,366 picks or 35.3666~ hours

I will probably be alternating among paladins, elves, gnomes and safes to keep from getting bored. This will take longer, but it's a hell of a lot less stressful. I'm going to try out Sorceress Garden again (after a long while; I tried when it first came out) to see how that does. I don't think it will be much use.

Torture

No more Pyramid Plunder. I got most of my level from it today and I'm fucking well done with it. Oh, that pmod I told you about, the one who leaves mummies free to attack other plunderers? He was on again and I got his name: Adomer1. Besides the mummy dodging, a glitch was showing itself today. When you open each door, you get either a message "This door leads to a dead end" or "Loading...please wait", right? No less than 8 times in 5 different rooms (2, 3, 5, 6, 7) did I open all 4 doors and each lead to a dead end. What the fuck???? Yeah, and a couple of times I had to check each door twice after finding out it was a dead end.

When I had under 9k to go to level, I left and went to the Thieving Capital of Gielinor - West Ardougne. I took 26 monkfish from my bank and headed to the second floor, north side of King Lathas' castle. I picked the locked door and started checking the lining of the paladins' platemail.

So, with PP out of the running for gaining XP, I'm left with pickpocketing and safe cracking. Here's a breakdown of how many of 3 pickpocket NPC types and safes I need for 98 and 99 respectively:

Paladins - 7,191; 15,288 (151.75 XP each)
Gnomes - 5,497; 11,688 (198.5 XP each)
Elves - 3,087; 6,563 (353.5 XP each)
Safes - 15,588; 33,142 (70 XP each)

I've done some timing with paladins and I get about 200 picks per 26 monkfish. Sorry that I don't have a time down, but I find it easier to go by how much food I have. I'd guess that takes about 45 minutes, depending on how many times I get caught and stunned. I'm taking a break atm and when I log on later, I'll go to Lletya and time myself with elves.

Turn up the Reactor Power Input ...3 ...More ...Points!

Pyramid Plunder is on my list of places I'm not going to see for a long, long time. I am so sick of that place. Thankfully, I get into a zone when I start each game, so the clicking is automatic. The only thing today was someone - didn't catch the name and barely caught a glimpse as he got tele'd out of the room - opened the sarcophagus in the last room, leaving me to get pounded on by a pissed-off mummy. I turned on protect from melee and figured that was it. Oh no! When the mummy would smack me, I'd stop looting to turn and hit. I constantly had to click on the urns to keep myself looting.

Anyway, I'm going to try a different world tomorrow. For the next level math: around 56 games (depends on how the time goes, sometimes I get more and less XP each run) or another 5 hours. To 99: about 190 games (again, depends on how quick I am) or about 16 hours. I try to get plundering over with ASAP, then take a break from RS and return to do something else, cracking safes or getting clue scrolls.

I went out today. First stop was feeding the ducks at one of the local ponds. Not just the ducks, but pigeons, a pair of swans and a sandpiper. After that, we ate lunch and hit the library for books for me to read. Hubby got me a book on making web pages and html, so maybe I'll learn something useful. :)

I updated my comic for September, too. I like to get a month's worth of comics uploaded at a time. Since it's only once a week, it's no biggie.

Odds and Ends

This time, I hit PRTSCRN before the poison got me! :P

Just 4 more measly levels now. Doesn't seem like much does it? Lol, 4 may be small, but that's 4,234,075 XP left to plow through. A math update: 245 PP games (if I can loot 5 urns in room 7 and 13 urns and the chest in room 9) or 20.416666~ hours or 6-7 days. Sometimes I can hit the XP perfectly and other times, I struggling to just find the door to the next room. If I do find time running out, I check the urns for snakes, loot the chest and try to loot as many urns as I can before the mummy boots me out. I figure any XP is better than none at all. In short, I'm going to attempt to get 1 level a day until August 31. It may get down to wire, but I'm not going to hold myself to this; it's just something I'd like. I have around 53 games (or 4.5 hours) to get level 96. I can taste it ... no, that's chocolate. XD

Other PP news - someone, forgot to write down the name but he was a pmod if you care, kept opening the sarcophagus and the mummy would attack anyone *but* the pmod! God, I hate that! There's not point to opening the sarcophagus - no thieving XP, you can get the Pharaoh's scepter from the chest and it annoys other plunderers! >:[ I saw my first level 3 (I presume he was a skiller), L E D Zep. He was up to room 5 (level 61 needed) and started looting urns as I was checking doors. Kudos to him for braving the perils with10 hp!

After I got level 95, I took my supper break and was offline for an hour or so, then I got back on. I stole clue scrolls from H.A.M. members and kept the "good" stuff - a Zammy page 4 and studded chaps (g). Is it so difficult to get a beret of any color? I'd like black, but hell, I'll take *any* right now! Yes, I'm too cheap to buy 1 and I know a lot of people are making mime masks (mime mask sewn onto a beret, like the mime random wears).

I've been thinking about having a party to celebrate 99 thieving. It would be my first party, but I just don't know. I'd like to open my PoH up for people to use and have a drop party, but I don't want every n00b off the street in Yanille to wander in and make fun of me. My PoH is mostly just for me; there're no game rooms or dungeons, no pretty gardens to hang out in. All I have to offer are: a fully stocked workshop (banner easel) and kitchen (with Greenman's Ale), portals and teleports to most places, a gilded altar and being close to a bank. I've been toying with the idea of keeping TT items like god pages and trimmed armor pieces and giving them to people I know who can use them. Why I'm so unsure: my first 99 was cooking, which I thought was the cat's pajamas until I got so belittled in game and on Sal's for having a "n00b" cape that it really smacked me back. I want to celebrate, but I don't want to be the butt of jokes. :/

The mouse issue: The in-laws discovered the mice had been using their rooms as rodent playgrounds. All that noise I heard through the ceiling was mice chewing their way up through hardwood flooring and carpet so they could shit and piss all over mother's-in-law (MIL) stuff! The mice also had a blast in father's-in-law (FIL) "study" downstairs. Apparently, we'd chased the little bastards away from where hubby and I live and into the places where no one lived atm. The in-laws were at their summer cabin for most of the summer. I don't know what MIL was thinking while she was out of town - that we'd caught some mice and that was all of them? We've been fighting them for a good 6 months, using glue traps (very effective) and poison blocks baited with peanut butter+basami rice and blocking what we thought was the only way in. There have to be more mouse holes, but how to find them? I pray to any god that MIL goes through with her "threat" to call an exterminator and those little fucking rodents will be gone bye-bye.

Oh, I also added a couple more links to some blogs you should check out. :)

Race Against Time

Again, I started my day at PP with the foresight of never, ever doing again what I did yesterday. No more leveling like that! PP began on a shitty tone - the door to the next room is the 4th door, scarabs in every chest, multiple poisonings from urns. Bleech! It didn't help that my hubby, who's computer is 3 feet from mine, was playing his own equally frustrating game and we sort of fed off each other. Eventually, I found The Zone and things fell into place.

Kuittaa from Sal's is, well, not stopping playing RS but not being a game whore (like me :P). He said he'd achieved his gaming goals when he reached 99 farming a few days ago. I feel bad that he's not going to be around as much in game, but he's living his life. Anyway, I'd told him he couldn't leave without showing me his super smexy cape emote, so when he logged in this morning, he said he'd meet me at PP. That cape is so neat. It's on my list to get, but I will go slow - no power farming or getting 1M XP in a single day.

I took a break from PP after 30 games. I only need 48 to get to level 95. I got hubby off to work after making and eating lunch together and logged back in at 3ish. As soon as I get to room 1, I see: System Update: 3:00 in the lower left corner. 8o Talk about pressure! So I ran and checked doors until I got to room 8, then checked for snakes, opened the chest (no scarabs, yay!) and looted what urns I could before logging out with 5 seconds to go on the update timer. I tried logging in afterwards, but the worlds are down. I just checked my tab and 131 is up.

Twofer

A two-for-one special today; about 1.1M XP gotten. Damn, I'll be so happy to NOT see Pyramid Plunder ever again!
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

The poison got me as I took the level up shot, so I got a pic of just the message.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Easier one and I decided to crop out me and some urns. I dunno what's with the white space. I didn't save it like that. :/

I made home made egg rolls tonight and they were sooooo yummy! Well, I'm going to do something more constructive for a while, like not PP. :P

Halfway

A short update as I'm a bit tired from running around dusty tombs. Level 92 achieved and only halfway to 99. Up until I get level 96, I'll be wondering if this was a good idea. I fiddled around with how I'm stealing trinkets and found a reliable method which nets me 18,660 XP, though sometimes it gets down to "Your time is up" message pops up just as I'm yoinking treasure from an urn. :P In room 7, I check all urns for snakes, loot 4 urns, find the door to room 8, loot all urns there and open the chest. With this, it's down to 350 games or 29.16666~ hours to go. If I can do 3 hours of PP a day, it's 9.72222~ days to that smexy cape.

New Calculations

Well, I did a few trial runs of all 8 rooms in PP this afternoon, watched a few videos of others doing PP and used the PP calculator to figure out the math parts. Basically, run through the first 6 rooms and only find the door to the next room - don't check the chest or sarcophagus. When you get to room 7, search 4 urns and find the door to the last room. In room 8, search all 13 urns and the chest before time runs out. This method gives me a whopping 16,635 XP for 5 minutes. :o I get 1k more XP this way than checking every chest and looting every urn in room 8. From this point on, I need 6,967,036 XP; 419 games (419x5 = 2095 minutes/60 = 34.916666~ hours); 11.6388888~ days if playing PP 3 hours per day to get to level 99. I have 28 games to get to level 92, the XP halfway mark.

I finished farming my veggies and fruits this morning and got 83 farming, too!

My Hand! My Hand!

The only thieving I did was getting seeds off Martin in Draynor. I noticed my stock of raw corn was very low, so I headed over and started stealing from the master gardener. I got tomato seeds and decided to keep those, too. Then it went to watermelon and strawberry seeds - just 1 more seed to make 3 so I can plant and I'd get 2 instead. XD I grew all the tomatos and watermelons tonight and will work on the corn tomorrow, along with 12 strawberry seeds I found outside the courthouse in Seer's. What luck!

Today was farming as I'd unloaded the nests and herbs from Miscellania. I should get 83 farming soon as I got some big tree seeds (2 magic, 2 yew) , a palm seed and a calquat seed. My usual method of farming is to head over to Catherby, fill up the allotment patches and do something else (fish or cut yews) while stuff grows. I did a bit of fishing - barbarian fishing no less. You use your hand as bait by wiggling your fingers very fast. The pic is of me catching a shark. I just couldn't be bothered hunting for a harpoon buried somewhere in my bank vault. :)

IRL, I had to get a package ready to send to my daughter for her birthday at the end of the month. I baked her chocolate chip cookies which she loves and she's getting some cool clothes and handbags, too.

We may be getting an exterminator in to deal with the mice. My mother-in-law (M-I-L) asked if there were still "creatures" around. In unison, hubby and I said, "Hell yes!" She was taken aback from our response and reprimanded us with "You should have told me so I could get an exterminator in". We told her that we didn't think they cared because the mice stayed in the basement with us. So, the rodent problem may be under control, but nothing definite has been set.

Tomorrow, I should be back to the normal scheduled Plundering.

It's All In My Head

Just to show you that I haven't been slacking off - 2 thieving levels! Now I can get to the last room in PP. According to the PP calculator at RuneHQ, I need 469 games to get to 99. Timewise, it breaks down like this:

Number of games x Time of each game / 60 minutes = Hours required

(469 x 5)/60 = 39.0833333~ hours of thieving at PP

All this means is if I were an autoer (WHICH I AM NOT!), I could get 99 in 2 days. Since I'm a normal person, it shouldn't take longer than 13 days, possibly less than that. What a cut down from 4 months! :)

Also, I sold my artefacts for 1M total, bringing my bank fund up to 12M! I noticed something while I was walking to and from Simon at the agility pyramid. I wear desert robes and boots when I walk over there and usually take a waterskin in case of trouble. Well, the last few times I've sold artefacts, I never needed to drink any water so I left the skin in the bank. Low and behold, I start taking damage from "dying of thirst". Okay, I carry a waterskin for several runs and get it balanced so I don't take a drink. After around 20 runs to and from Simon without taking a drink from the waterskin I'm lugging about, I leave the skin in the bank again. Bam! "You start dying of thirst in the desert" pops up. OMG.

As you can see, I was about 900XP off 91 when I left PP for the day. I went back to mugging guards to get the level. I'm done thieving at PP for today, I think.

Oh, the other big news from Sunday - I got 2 more Pharaoh's scepters! Today at PP was a bit annoying as there were other players raiding. One of them had a cat, which is very bothersome when you're trying to click on something and all you get is: That isn't yours to pick up. And the same person with the cat was opening sarcophagi and I was the one getting smacked around by the mummy. <_<

I high alched a lot of bracelets yesterday, made from all those gems I've been stealing. Oh so much money to be had from that.

Crafty Saturday

Today was all about crafting. I was close to gaining smithing and crafting levels, so I trudged over to Keldagrim and mined about 800 gold ores (minus the ones used for payment to the dwarf for banking for me) at the gold mine where Between A Rock and A Hard Place quest starts. After that, I tele'd to Port Phasmatys to smelt them and gained 73 smithing.

After that, I took a break for a bit to help build the temple in Mort'ton. I
had just over 105k XP until 79 crafting, so I used up all my planks and limestone bricks to get 3/4th of the way there. I hit the crafting guild to pick up a bracelet mold, then returned to Port Phasmatys to make bracelets with all the gems I've gotten cracking safes. Oh I can now make black vambrances which means I can do something with those black d hides smoldering in my bank!

Last night started a bit off but came out fantastic. I logged onto World 131 as usual, but I couldn't get in as the server was offline. Oh Noes!!!! So I tried 124 and that was offline, too. Just as an off chance, I clicked on World 2 and managed to get in. I typed in my name and password, waiting for the This world is full message - it didn't pop up! :o Well, I had left myself alching at Falador, so I finished alching my bows and decided to see if anyone was buying a wizzy top (g). I saw 1 person buy the full set. I took my chances and typed: Selling wizzy top (g) Selling wizzy top (g) 250k. I got a buyer right off! Took me a bit to remember to get my trade off friends, but I sold that top! w00t!

IRL stuff: I watched Fright Night tonight and will likely have weird dreams. Wing Street Pizza Hut makes delicious, deep fried apple pies. Mmmm.... No more mice today, but I hear them thumping in the walls. It sounds like a couple of cats fighting or a dog galloping across the floor. Also, I've been having trouble getting Firefox to log me into RS. This week I've been browsing forums and comics and stuff, but when I go to log in to RS, I get that White Window of Death and Firefox locks up for 20 minutes. When I can try again, RS loads with no problems. Anyway, today I was grateful for keeping IE around as I had to use that to get onto the internet. Firefox would not open at all after I tried getting to RS. It's really strange and nobody I know who knows about computers knows wtf is happening. *sigh*

Mummy Doesn't Like You Best

The worst thing about doing PP is the lost mummy. If you haven't done Contact!, then the worst thing is no bank in Sophenam :P. Every once in a while, when you're doing PP with another player, they'll crack a sarcophogus and out pops a mummy. The other person runs away, leaving you holding the bag. Yes, someone else's mummy will attack you if the person who woke it up leaves the room. I used to open sarcophogi, but no longer.

89 thieving today, so I can relax until tomorrow. I have some logs to fletch and alch and flax to craft, too. Oh, I also made the 10M mark after selling my PP artefacts to Simon Templeton. I know, I could go faster just dropping them, but they give such good cash.

A little mouse looked at me while I was playing. I yelled at it and it ran away. I saw it later, stuck to a glue trap and squeaking its little heart out. I decided to yell at it while I packed up our leftover food that the mice hadn't gotten into inside big plastic containers. I was so pissed at it for eating my popcorn, I almost bashed its head in with a hammer. >:[

I think that's all for now. Thanks for reading! :)

Fun, Fun, Fun

My first "rare" drop: the Pharaoh's Sceptre from PP! I stayed there for almost 2 hours tonight and gained enough XP to be halfway to level 89!

Other fun thing tonight happened while I was on my way to check an oak tree behind Lumbridge castle. I noticed a drunken dwarf wandering around, chasing a poor level 4 and throwing rocks at him. Well, that "poor" level 4 is Ffgg627 and very likely a sweatshop worker who makes RS money to sell for real money! >:[ I call them bots regardless. Ffgg627 died not once, but *3 times* at the general store because the stupid bot wouldn't talk to the dwarf, who was throwing rocks at it. What a dumb fuck! XD

Oh a couple things I forgot to mention in my last blog post. I've been getting H.A.M. clues and got a couple "good" items - wizard top (g) and wizard top (t). I really don't want either and the chances of me sellling them are horrible, so I checked Zybez for how much they alch. 9 gold. o_O I found someone (who probably thinks he got a great trade) who wanted the (t) top. I traded and he asked for my price. I replied with 100k, extremely low, and he put up splitbark legs (worth about 80k, high alch for 24k). Meh, I agreed to the trade and alched the legs. I'm thinking about saving these types of items for a drop party I *might* have when I hit 99 thieving.

I'm working on making the blog look good and readable. I want people to stop by and keep stoping by. I'm learning how with this as my first blog was on Sal's and so much easier to use, especially posting images.

Test Your Might

RS news: 88 thieving last night. Major yayness for that because I managed to play PP for an hour before going a bit nutty. I'm slowly working on my goals, except for runecrafting being a short term one. That'll have to go on the back burner for now as thieving moved its way to the forefront.

I emptied the deposits of maple logs, nests and flax last night as I couldn't wait any longer. Some days I just get a wild hair to keep farming and farming. Officially, I now have the 55,296 maple logs (according to the Zybez calculator) required to burn for 99 firemaking.

Today has been a short playing day. I did some shopping to restock food and bought 6 glue traps for those damn mice. I also bought a plastic container to stick boxed food in in case the little bastards decide mashed potatos would be a great snack. I'm at my wits end on getting rid of these mice. I'm praying to every diety that the ones in the house now are the only ones to worry about and there's no other ways in/out.

We got 5 movies today. Wal-mart was having a 2/$10 special and hubby and I found 4 movies we wanted: Heathers, Mortal Kombat, Escape from L.A. and Barbershop. The last movie, Fright Night, I found at Dominion and begged hubby to buy it for me. So, we paid $30 for 5 movies that we can watch as much as we want.

A Mathy Post

Despite the picture to the left, I am not a mathy sort of person. Oh, I can manage a bit of the basics and simple algebra, but nothing more. I turn to my sweet husband for the hard stuff.

XD

Ahem.

What I wanted was to figure out how many of 3 thieving activities I need to do each day to get 99 thieving by the end of this year. I did a bit of testing on each and gave the required numbers to hubby. He showed me what he was doing and why, hoping that I would learn and stop asking him to compute this ridiculous shit. ;)

To start, I needed 8,875,510 XP from the point we began last night. From my testing, I could crack 510 safes per hour, netting 35,700 XP; pickpocket 510 male H.A.M. members per hour, netting 11,220 XP; pickpocket 37 gnomes per hour, netting 44,067 XP. These samples were taken from my performing the activities on each for 10 minutes and tallying each successful steal. Taking the number of days from September - December (122) and dividing that into the total XP needed, hubby got 72,750.081 XP per day. My brain can grasp that better than a sterile "must do this for 4 hours/day" result I got. If I crack safes for 2 loads of monkfish (16 each before running out), then switch to pickpocketing gnomes for 2 loads (4 monkfish each), I should get about 80k XP. I'll also be stealing clue scrolls from H.A.M. members and tomb raiding for changes of scenary.

I will say it's easier to think of just what you need to get to the next level instead of getting to 99.

The big thing has been the clan chat and Salmoneus created an "official" chat for Sal's Realm of RuneScape. Sadly, it's getting spammed and people are bitching because no one who can kick is on at all times. You can't make people monitor an IRC if they don't want to. Myself, I'm not going even though I'm positive I can cover the times when "no mod is on". Scooby is making a bitch of herself with her spam topics about getting kicked off Sal's chat. From what I understand, she spams about how chef's hat will be rare and, when one account is kicked, she circumvents the kick by joining on another account. She's a decent forumer, so you think she'd know better than to act like that on a chat channel.

Thieving time

First and foremost: I finally sold that fury amulet. Thank you Cgerman for buying, even though you will probably sell it for more money. I have a sweet 9.4M in my bank.

Second and fivemost: I learned how to get my pictures to look right in this blog! Thanks to Photobucket for making an html link in my album. I think I can do the same for adding pics in the middle of a blog.

Lastly, I found more RS centered blogs to read. Timothy Gold's The Chronicles of RuneScape is one of the best I've read so far.

Onto the title of this post. I really enjoy cracking safes at the Rogue's Den and I'm going to use this as my main method to level 99 thieving. It only gives 70 XP per safe, but I usually get gems which I save for crafting into bracelets. I'll be augmenting this method with PP and pickpocketing. If I can get into doing the safes 4 hours a day, I'll have that precious skill cape in a couple months. I definitely want it before 2008!

Other things I'm doing - trying to cut 200 yew and 200 mage logs a day at the gnome Stronghold. I have a magic tree in a plot, plus there's one magic tree beside it and 3 yews not far. I can cut my magic until it's down to a stump, then run and chop on a yew tree. I have Miscellanians gathering maple logs (and nests) and flax. The flax will be spun into bow strings to go with the bows I'll be fletching. Somewhere amongst all this I need to mine essence and craft into runes, probably nats.

I did 2 clue scrolls tonight. The first I got a Guthix vestment bottom which I don't want. Stop giving me these fucking prayer robes! I want a damn beret or Bob the Cat shirt! >:[ The second clue was crappy (coif and studded body).

Insert David Bowie song title here

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Hmm why is this shit underlined??? Seriously, it's blue when I type and underlined. Fucking html bullshit. Ha ha, I fixed it. Fuck you html, just fuck you! :P

The update on RS today is about updated clothes and hairstyles (+facial hair for males) to choose from. You can have hair like Juliet or Romeo or the Champion's guild master. After much thought when I knew this was a possibility (see August BTS), I teetered on the edge. I liked how Kitt Fox looked when I chose the outfit and hair 3+ years ago. I'm a cheap person and the regular style changes cost money. With the update, the first week give free changes. I don't know if that includes multiple changes with the same account or what. I found a new hairstyle, blouse and skirt combo I liked (re: 80s flashback). You can see it under the Kitt Fox section to your left - old KF on the left, new KF on the right. I'm going to bug hubby when he gets home from work to log on and change his character so I can see the options for choices males get. ^_^

Today will probably be spent at the Gnome Stronghold, cutting down yew and magic trees. I have a magic tree in the tree patch there and I'm the only person who can cut it. :P Farming rocks! When my magic tree is cut down, I run north and start chopping the nearest yew. I'm saving the logs to fletch into longbows to alch for cash.

The pictures at the top. While I was cutting my magic tree, there was Bluefox39 cutting the open (menaing anyone with 75 wc can cut it) magic tree beside me. He wore full lumberjack clothes and with his Van Dyke facial hair and the lumberjack cap, he looked like Jayne Cobb from Firefly (episode: The Train Job).

I'm not gonna take it

No more level 3 clues for me. I can't take the pressure of the Wilderness anymore. Considering I get crap I don't need, it's not worth the trouble. I dropped one I got from jellies today. I'll stick to H.A.M. clues and pray to Icthlarin I get a black beret or Bob shirt.

Good news! I achieved 80 attack, 82 hit points and 101 combat today. I decided to do slayer tasks to get my attack up and my hit points naturally followed. Damn Dureal (Shilo village slayer master) kept giving me metal dragons that I had to Burthorpe. 38 steel dragons and 102 iron dragons in total. My drops were a bit shitty, except for 2 loop half keys, but they gave me shitty rewards from the crystal chest (1 dragonstone, 1 spinach roll and 2k gold BOTH TIMES).

Thieving - I found what I like doing, but the XP is low - cracking safes in Rogue's Den. It's 70 XP each safe, but I get gems which I keep for crafting into bracelets. Pickpocketing H.A.M. members is good, too, just for the clue scrolls. I think if I do a bit of pickpocketing here and there and augment it with PP, I'll be good for leveling.

Bummer news from last night. Josh (I don't recall his full RS name) was asking to buy a light source. I sold him a bull's eye lantern for 3k and told him how to use it. He couldn't light it because his firemaking was too low. I offered to light it and trade it back, but once lit, lanterns are non-tradeable! XD Josh took me to a quiet spot and told me to drop the lit lantern which I did. It didn't show up, so I refunded his money. I felt extra bad because I had had 2 candle lantern frames (just needed a candle) from looting Dorgesh-kaan chests, but sold them.

I also need to crack down on making money. My best bet is fletching yew longbows, then alching them. This means cutting yews, spinning flax, mining p ess and making nats. Gack to think about it! :(

Visit lovely Sophanem!

Be sure to pet the plague cows! Sophanem, home of Pyramid Plunder (PP) and a plague.

I did a bit of PP and gained 87 thieving. Go me. :) I don't know what it is that bothers me so much, but I can barely handle it. I feel the same about training agility, too. I get bored so fast even with constant clicking, but if you put my in a room with someone to pickpocket, I'm a happy camper.

I found a quick way to sell my artefacts to Simon Templeton. If you've done Contact!, you start at the bank in town. Get a waterskin (and a knife if you like, but it's a short trip), desert robes and 27 artefacts (I keep the stone and gold ones). Take the ladder up from the bank and walk around to the crack in the wall where locusts are hopping about. Climb into the crack and emerge beside some rocks east of the Wanderer's tent (where you start Ichthlarin's Little Helper). Walk southeastish passed some goats until you find rocks to climb downward. This is the entry to the agility pyramid if you wanted to know. Simon is here by the tent. Talk to him and "flog the lot" for cash. Return to the rocks by the Wanderer's tent, climb in and pop out near locusts behind the Sophanem bank. Rinse and repeat.

While I was in Sophamen, I wandered around town and tried to get into Menaphos. Menaphite guards made fun of me as I walked away from the boarded up gates. Determined now, I plunked everything I carried into my bank and did a desert walkabout. I found the Menaphos carpet station and another gate, but I still couldn't get inside. I walked through the desert with no food, no waterskins, no knife and no desert robes just to see how long I could last. Could I make it back to Shanty Pass before dying? I made it, even taking a longish route. :P

Other level - 88 magic. I have been very close for 2 days and figured to get off my butt and do some magic. I tele'd to Camelot 29 times and gained the level.

Also, I wanted to get full H.A.M. clothes for my costume room. Best way to get them is to pickpocket H.A.M. members. Took a few hours to get all 7 items - hood, cloak, logo, robe top, robe skirt, gloves and boots - but I did and got 3 clue scrolls, too. Nothing interesting from those either. No nibbles on my fury for sale.

I'm currently camping at the Yanille watchtower to pickpocket watchmen. They give 60 gp and bread, so I'll have food. I'm trying to find something I like to thieve to make that end run to 99.

Ah, good friend

Sparhawke came to my rescue, not only to craft an onyx amulet, but to enchant it as well! *hugs* Sadly, I'm attempting to sell this ammy for 4.1M. I posted on OF and Sal's and replied to someone buying a fury on OF; the person might respond, I don't know. I hope someone will buy it. I may try to log onto World 2 early this morning (4a my time) and see if I can sell there.

With that out of the way, I'm at 6s and 7s on what to do on RS. I'm torn between lighting fires or pickpocketing gnomes. I did the Barbarian Training and can light fires with a bow, but I haven't tested it thoroughly yet. As for gnomes, I get caught with them as much as I do with paladins but at 1/3 of the damage taken! Gnomes hit for 1 and pallys hit for 3 when they catch you. Hmmm...

Fury Farming

Two good things happened today. Firstly, I achieved level 82 farming. With eating half of a garden pie, I can plant/grow all the farming seeds in RS. I don't know what to use the Miscellania subjects for now. I did have them on herbs and maples (both give me seeds, though maples give more). Also, the next time I empty the kingdom shed, I'll have enough maple logs for 99 firemaking. If only I could get herbs and flax, but those two are toggled together - meaning you can get one or the other but not both. :(

The onyx gem. I runecrafted the last 3600 chaos runes I needed to sell to get 260k tokkul to buy the lovely black stone. I cut it myself. I have 1 tokkul left over, which I'll use to build up another 260k for a second onyx gem. I really want a ring of stone, just as something cool and useless to have. :D

I'm thinking on what to do in RS now. Runecrafting is fine, but in small chunks since I have to mine the essence myself. I may start the long, boring road of firemaking but I have to think about where to ensconce myself - some place with few people firemaking and near a bank. I may check out Barbarian Training to get the skill of using a bow to light fires. It'll allow me to take 1 more log per trip (28 instead of 27) and it'll speed up firemaking a bit.

IRL, hubby and I (mostly hubby) sealed off the opening around the water main where the mice were getting inside. Hubby stapled in a sheet of aluminum mesh and used spray foam instead of the fluffy insulation. Hopefully this will keep them from going in and out. What bugs me is the little fuckers only stay where we live and don't bother upstairs.

Show Me The Money!

I decided to browse the OF to see if anyone was buying a Guthix dhide body or rune skirt (g). Found a guy buying the Guthix and posted, offering to sell mine for 400k. I added him to my friends list. He logged on a few minutes later and we haggled a bit. He offered an obsidian staff in exchange. I said no. He then asked if he sold the staff for 300k would that be enough (instead of 400k). I said it was and waited. Five-ten minutes later, he offers up the obby staff and full snakeskin. o_O No. I just want cash. If I don't find a buyer in the next few days, I'll hi alch it.

What is it about people not understanding cash only? Normally, I wouldn't mind bartering, but I want cash to fund my construction and Miscellania management.

I helped out someone on a TT by selling one of the addy square shields for 3k.

Oh the mice have been partying all day over the PB and rice. Weirdos.

Pocket Lint Inspector

Only level today was 78 crafting. Skill updates: I'm 20k from 82 farming, 3k from 88 magic and 180k from 87 thieving. I'd been intent on mining pure essence, but I did some calculations on buying an onyx gem and realized I was very close to having enough tokkul to buy one! I spent this evening checking for requisite pocket lint at King Lathas' castle in Ardougne. Along with getting 2 chaos runes, which I save to sell at TzHaar for tokkul, I find 80gp and it's adding up. I'm over 5.5M right now. When I get the onyx gem, I'll ask a friend to craft it into an onyx amulet, then I'll enchant it into a fury amulet. I might sell it, depends on if I can find a buyer. The amulet isn't something I want as I have so many ammys in my bank as it is and glory ammy works fine for me.

You may be wondering who that hottie is to your right. That's Chef Curtis Stone from The Take Home Chef on TLC. None of the chefs I worked with every looked like him! *drools* He has that New Romantic look from 1979 - 1982, especially when he dons tv makeup.

I have a mouse problem which I've mentioned on one of my other haunts, Boards of Magic. Anyway, the mice have been nibbling on the poisoned blocks I set out and even go so far as to shove the empty tart tin away from the wall as if asking for a refill. Well, tonight they got some fresh peanut butter and basmati rice poisoned tarts to chow on. Friday, hubby and I will trek down to Canadian Tire and see if they have small weave wire mesh so hubby can finally close up where the mice are coming into the house.

Annoyed

Gack this is a shitty day for online. I'm getting PMed about a Mafia game I went tits up in the middle of playing. It stopped being fun; end of story. Getting a message from Cameron this morning makes me think Pat cc'ed my PM. That's something I utterly despise - being talked about behind my back, especially when the 3rd person jumps into the conversation. I explained to CS. I explained to Pat. Don't be too shocked with my bitchy reply to you, Cam. And to top it off, Cam replied to my reply. Ugh!

In RS, I just was not in the mood to associate with people, yet here were other players asking me questions and "emo pl0x?". I've turned public chat Off which means I hear nothing; I see nothing (ty Schultzy).

I got 76 herblore. I've been farming like made today, using up those seeds I got from slayer monsters. The herbs I keep an eye on in case they get diseased. Anything important is farmed on top of the Troll Stronghold.

Lastly, I'm 5k maple logs short of having enough to burn for 99 firemaking. Now it's just finding the zone to burn for 2 weeks.

Screenshots

I have such a hard time getting pictures to post properly. *sigh* Oh well, I'll stick with one photo per post or if they are especially nifty, I'll make a separate post with just the pics.

The Slayer part 2

Ah, slayer goal is complete! :) The left picture shows my gaining 70 slayer and the ability to slaughter kurasks (oh boy)! Shortly afterwards, I gained 79 attack. When last I left you, dear reader, I was anxiously wondering whether to melee or mage 121 lesser demons. I decided to go with my trusty scimitar and shield and toddle under the village of Taverly. There was one other person killing lessers, but we shared demons without complaint. I like those people. None of this: Mine! Get lost, n00b! Just straight-forward: I'm here and so are you. We can get our kills in without childish behavior.

Assignments - Changed or Not - Noteworthy Loot
121 Lesser Demons
131 Jellies - 2 rune full helms, clue scroll
190 Jungle Horrors - 2 clue scrolls!
176 Dagannoths - Burthorped
40 Cave Crawlers
138 Black Demons - Burthorped
30 Goblins
169 Bloodveld

During the jelly slayage, I gained 80 strength and 100 combat. 8^o I thought I had 2 more levels to get (80 attack) before reaching triple digits. The picture on your right is the delightful rewards from the jelly clue scroll. My second level 3 clue that didn't shove me into the Wilderness, though I did fight 2 Saradomin wizards and fixed a puzzle box. The froggish looking item in the center is Guthix dragonhide body armor. Basically, it's black d'hide that's been blessed by Guthix and carries that god's symbol. I have it and the rune skirt (g) for sale on Sal's. Finally, I returned to normal spells tonight and happily hi alched all the goodies I found on the ground from monster drops. About 200k worth with a few exceptions.

Tomorrow, it's back to business as usual - farming. I scored with high level herb seeds and belladonna. I also managed to grab some strawberry and watermelon seeds which I'll grow into gardener payments. Hopefully I'll gain a herblore level tomorrow with herbs from Miscellania. I still need more money to keep the coffers full. I'm at 6.1M currently and will most likely toss 500k into the treasury.

RS news - Clan Chat. It sounds great, if you enjoy yakking on IRC (internet relay channel). I popped onto one this morning, saw it was IRC and abruptly left. IRC holds no fun for me; either everyone is talking so quickly you can't follow or they all shut up when a new person signs in.

I'll be fixing a few things on the blog. Such as removing completed goals and adding new ones.

Griefers

While playing any online game, you'll always find players who give other players a hard time or generally make it difficult to play. I was lucky this weekend and only ran into 2 such players - griefers. One was at the dagannoth dungeon under the lighthouse. Boerseun3 was giving a guy named Mark a hard time because Mark wore a dragon skirt, or a "man skirt" since Mark was a male character. I didn't take a picture of the conversation since I was merely a bystander, but it went something like this:

Boerseun3: Why you wearing a man skirt?
Mark: It has the same stats as d legs but is much cheaper.
Boerseun3: Your armor is made of free stuff and quest items.

I was waiting for Boerseun3 to throw out "gai" (gay is censored in RS), but he didn't. When griefing like this happens, I wonder if the griefer isn't a closet homosexual?

And the screenie that starts this post. I'm in the Fremminik slayer caves, minding my own business and slaying turoths when Troksenion runs up to me and asks if I want to know what he thinks of turoths. Sensing a prick about to rise, I told him I don't care (Idc) what he thinks about turoths. He then does his slayer cape emote, which is him throwing a turoth off his back and stomping on it. Because I wasn't suitably awestruck or impressed, he informed me I was a "loser kid". My "nice cape" comment showed up the same time as his "loser kid" did, so it looks like I was sucking up to him. He asked for my opinion and I gave it. Why he ran up to me, I don't know, but probably trying to impress a lower level which backfired.

Slayer Weekend

This weekend is dedicated to the Slayer skill - killing assigned monsters for experience. It's one of two skills below 70 and I was just in the right mood to train again. As you can see, I gained a defense and strength level each; not shown is 69 slayer because I forgot to take a screenie. :P

I kept a list of each assignment and, if any, rare drops. Firstly, I headed over to Moonclan/Lunar island to swap spellbooks. Lunar magic has Contact NPC, meaning I can talk to any of the four slayer masters without seeing them in person. Mainly, I spoke to Chaedlar in Zanaris and when s/he (I haven't figured out what gender 'it' is) gave me something I didn't want, I asked Tureal to give me something easier. This is known as Burthorping, named for the city where Tureal (he's the starting out slayer master, so easy assignments) lives. Getting a reassignment means you have to do what Tureal tells you.

Assignments - Changed or Not - Noteworthy Loot
158 fire giants - 24 rune arrows
10 bronze dragons - Burthorped
18 wolves
163 hellhounds - Burthorped
16 dwarves
121 dagannoths
156 trolls
149 hellhounds - Burthorped
15 skeletons
167 basilisks
11 mutated zygomites
116 elves - Burthorped
17 minotaurs - clue scroll
166 turoth - loop half key, gold/white mystic bottom, a lot of herb seeds
88 iron dragons - Burthorped
46 desert lizards - loop half key
34 iron dragons - Burthorped
17 ice fiends
165 fever spiders
118 jungle horrors - clue scroll

My favorite slayer monsters are fire giants, turoths, basilisks and dagannoths.

One thing I found out has to do with the combat bracelet. When it is out of charges, it doesn't keep tally every 10 kills of how many monsters you have left to kill. I'm trying to decide how to do my next assignment - 121 lesser demons: melee or mage. Maging means I'll have to make runes (chaos probably) as I don't have enough stocked in my bank. I'll continue training slayer this week until I get to level 70, then start Ectofuncting and gilded altaring on prayer.

*sigh*

I got my teal robes. I tossed on my law tiara. I took 28 law runes out of the bank. I went to Entrana. I hopped to World 99. I walked up to the line of crafters at the ferns. I turned my public chat and trade to On. I typed, "Kitt Fox Open!" in the chat window.

Then I stepped back, took off my clothes and jumped on the boat to Port Sarim.

Why?

I'm afraid one of the runners (said crafters, but that was a mistake) will trade more pure essence than I have law runes.

The company says pouches are okay. What if a crafter doesn't have enough laws to trade? What do I do? Drop the trade? Trade what I can? Trade some, craft them, then trade for the rest? I didn't want to screw it up, so I left.

I'm such a loser. Why do I even attempt to do things that force me to interact with other players? Because I'm repeatatively stupid, that's why.

Now I'm left with 1300 gp worth of robes I don't like or want. The joys of FFL. Yay. *rolls eyes*

My fucking stat sig isn't updating. I'm giving RuneScape Bits and Bytes until tomorrow to get my stat updated. If they aren't, out it comes.

The Spoils

I finished my tomb raiding and took 2 pictures of the spoils. The picture to the left is almost everything I looted from the chests, plus cash and swamp tar. The picture on the right is the results of a level 3 clue scroll which was part of the chest booty. I kept a log of what I received and will post the results now.

Expenses:

- 8300 gold spent on olive oil
- time taken to chop 210 magic logs
- time taken to make 210 4 dose olive oils from 280 3 dose olive oils
- time taken to gather planks
- time taken to mine limestone
- 130 monkfish eaten

Gains:

- 1 hitpoint level
- 1 prayer level (21,000 prayer XP)
- 1 combat level
- 84,945 firemaking XP
- undetermined crafting XP for helping build the temple to make sacred oil

From the burning of 210 fiyr shade remains on 210 magic pyre logs, I gained 125k gold, 31 bronze keys, 44 red keys, 68 crimson keys, 16 black keys and 8 purple keys. The keys, in turn, opened identically colored locked chests and gave me these items:

- 113,253 gold
- 960 swamp paste
- 4 rune scimitars
- 6 adamant warhammers
- 15 adamant spears
- 11 poisoned adamant spears
- 22 pieces of fine cloth
- 7 black plate bodies
- 248 death runes
- 73 blood runes
- 5 amulets of power
- 3 adamant chain bodies
- 4 adamant 2 handed swords
- 5 rune medium helms
- 2 adamant plate bodies
- 4 adamant plate legs
- 4 adamant plate skirts
- 7 admant full helms
- 6 adamant kite shields
- 3 battlestaves
- 6 Flamtaer hammers
- 3 adamant battleaxes
- 8 black spears
- 11 adamant square shields
- 2 rune long swords
- 2 adamant long swords
- 6 mithril plate skirts
- 1 mithril plate body
- 2 rune swords
- 10 noted yew logs
- 1 level 3 clue scroll (rune axe, rune full helm, black dragonhide legs, rune long sword and Sara page 3)

If I were able to merchant all these items for a good price, you're looking at a good 1M gold. Since I will likely hi alch most of it, it'll be around 500k for everything. I'm keeping the addy kite and square shields, addy 2h, rune scimitars, fine cloth, runes and yew logs. So if someone tells you burning shades isn't worth the time, they are lying. Yes, gathering the items I needed took the better part of a gaming day, but by getting them myself I saved money.

I majorly lucked out on the clue scroll - no trips to the Wildy!!!! I did have to fight a double agent at Shilo village, but he was a breeze to kill.

What are my plans now? Probably gathering more materials to help build the temple on World 131. I can use the crafting XP to get to an old goal of 80 crafting. I may make some battlestaves as I have 244 buckets of sand in my bank which I was planning on making into vials for herblore, but with the shade burning giving me almost 400 empty vials (I picked up what people were dropping), I think I'm stocked for the moment. With battlestaves, the hard part is finding a shop that doesn't have other stave buyers and world hopping since shops only stock 5 and the respawn rate is ungodly slow.

I hi alched 90% of the items and got a whopping 339k.

Here I Go Gathering

Today was a gathering day. I topped up on several herblore seconds such as newt eyes, dragon scales and Zamorak wine. I need to kill some banshees for fishing bait which I use to catch sardines. Then I head to the basement of the Tower of Life and create spidines - half spider, half sardine - because these critters drop a lot (6-12) red spider eggs each. Creature Creation is well worth the effort as 3 of the createable critters: spidine, newtroost and unicow drop some of the coveted herblore seconds which are difficult to get: red spider eggs, newt eyes and unicorn horns.

Currently, I'm killing fiyr shades underneath Mort'ton and will be burning their corpses for chest keys. I'm seriously considering using shade burning as my money making method. Many players do it and if you can sell what you loot, you get plenty of cash. Since I suck ass at merchanting (unless somebody is asking to buy something I have), I just hi alch what I find. Occasionally, I'll keep hold of something I know I'll need for a clue scroll, such as addy 2h or diamond ring.

I talked with Teacuptime about crafting law runes on World 99. It's a FFL company that gives laws for unnoted pure essence (usually 28 each). Most people use World 66, which I find very confusing as there seems to be no order to it other than crafters wear red Zammy robes. With World 99, crafters wear teal robes and stand behind a line drawn from some ferns. Runners trade first and, if I understand right, you can keep the same runners running for you. I looked into this because, though I like the long walk from the fairy ring to the nature altar in the jungle, I'd like XP quicker.

IRL, I made a fantastic supper of salmon patties, au gratin potatos, corn and cheesecake. So, so good.

As you can see to your left, I got a stat signature posted and it should update daily. Thanks to creamers and Stobbo at Sal's Realm for the HTML help.

Come to World 131

For those wondering, World 131 is the official temple building world currently. It was moved away from World 2 since that is a gigantic trading world and it is very difficult to log in there.

I just popped down to Mort'ton to buy olive oils. Enough to get me started back to building my nest egg and I find myself finishing cutting the same number of magic logs in the Tree Gnome stronghold. After supper, I spent the evening at the temple, rebuilding the walls with many other folk and gaining crafting XP at the same time. I feel good about doing this because I know what it's like to try to find a world or enough people to help you build it during the quest. The resources are ridiculously easy to obtain - limestone bricks: mine east of Varrock and chisel down; planks: grab a couple loads of the 4 respawning at the Barbarian Outpost; swamp tar: save what you find in the shade tombs. After I do my regular farming run in the morning, I'll head back to Mort'ton and start killing 200 fiyr shades to burn.

Quote of the day:

Regatta day might be on tomorrow, depends on the winds.

My right foot from the ankle down across the top to where the toes join is swollen slightly. *sigh* Looks like my gout has returned. Time to keep it propped and randomly soaking in hot water with epsom salts. :/ I'm doing that after I post this, then heading to bed early for a change.

Fixed!

Another entry, but with a fixed screenie of my high scores. I can't believe I didn't see construction listed until now. A big thanks to Teacuptime, a Sal's blogger and poster, since he's been training construction too and mentioned in his blog that he was in the top 5,000 of this skill. I probably should take a shot of my stats when I'm logged on as I think that would be a better picture, but I still think people would like to see how much I've gone up or down compared to other players.

I've added 2 new blogs, a fun comic and RuneScape to my list of links you should check out. Tail Feather updates on Sundays (one of the rare comics that does) for anyone curious. The drawing does get better. :P

Speaking of blogs, I got hooked on reading Princess sjd's 3 blogs. I wanted to find out why she left Sal's (she still lurks but doesn't post; shame, shame Sharon!), but she doesn't mention too many details. Some confusion on the IRC Novus. Anyway, I'm slightly pissed as she claims to love blogging, yet hasn't posted in her latest blog for 2 weeks. I understand Real Life can get you down, but does it take that long to throw out, "Attack of Real Life! No time to post!"? Have some consideration for those of us not part of your Royalty of RuneScape forum. Annoyed about that place; you have to become a registered member to view any posts. >:(

Today is supposed to be Regatta Day in Newfoundland. This lovely provincial holiday will more than likely get canceled until a later date because of Tropical Storm Chantel. Hubby is pissed as this will be his 7th day of work in a row. You can't exactly call ahead and find out if the store is open or not since he works the morning shift and is one of the first people there.

Blogwise, I'm looking for info on how to imbed a video and get a stat signature to show. If anyone knows how, could you leave a comment and explain for me? *cuteness*

Regatta a-go-go?

The start of a new month with a fresh high scores screenie.

With construction finished for the moment, I move myself to training runecrafting and thieving. Sometimes I get so zoned, I forget to fill my pouches with essence and end up semi wasting a long walk to the nature altar.

I just noticed construction isn't on my high scores pic! Must investigate!
